Contingency Plan

 




I've completed this pre-production activity to make note of any issues I could face during the filming process of my project. By already considering potential issues before filming starts, I will be more likely to prevent them from happening and will be less likely to encounter any huge problems that would take a considerable time to solve. This will help me in the long run as I will have prepared for anything negative in advance.

Budgeting: Below the line and Above the line

  Above the line-  the list of individuals who guide, influence and add to creative direction, process and voice of a given narrative in a film and their related expenditures. These roles include (but aren't limited to) the screenwriters, producer, director, producers, and writers from the other crew. Below the line- a term derived from the top sheet of a budget (Motion Picture, Television, Commercial, Industrial, Student Film, Documentary). The 'line' in below the line is one separating the Actors, Director, Producers and Writers from the other crew I have completed this pre-production activity to allow myself more understanding of required finances in a low-budget film. By understanding the idea of 'above' and 'below' the line costs, I will be able to have a clearer idea of how budgeting works and where money specifically goes to in a project.
