Risk assessment





I have completed this pre-production activity to demonstrate the multiple factors that need to be considered when looking at risk. By doing this in a table format, I have been able to recognise potential issues, see the extent of the issue and what can be done to prevent it. In the future, this task will allow me to take a wider range of factors into consideration when evaluating potential hazards.

  Above the line-  the list of individuals who guide, influence and add to creative direction, process and voice of a given narrative in a film and their related expenditures. These roles include (but aren't limited to) the screenwriters, producer, director, producers, and writers from the other crew. Below the line- a term derived from the top sheet of a budget (Motion Picture, Television, Commercial, Industrial, Student Film, Documentary). Film ideas

 I have completed this pre-production activity to prepare for creating my film next year. By conjuring up three different film ideas, all from a separate genre, I have allowed myself to thoroughly research potential options I might be interested in. I completed this task by studying the conventional features of certain genres e.g. the use of jumpscares in horror films, linking it to a concept I've constructed and then developing that concept, deciding whether or not to follow these conventions. Hopefully, this will positively impact the outcome of my product as my ideas will be thoroughly developed.

One Mile Away case study

I have completed this pre-production activity to provide an example of the scale of pre-production from a low budget film. By studying the elements of pre-production separately, it's helped me understand how everything connects together and by using powerpoint as a way to display this, it makes each component easier to break down. I believe that this will improve the end product as I now am more knowledgeable of how to cope with pre-production when creating a film under a low budget.
