Monsters case study

I have completed this pre-production activity to provide an example of the scale of pre-production from a moderately budgeted film. I've used powerpoint for this task as it allowed me to concentrate on separate parts of the film's pre-production, therefore letting me make a more evaluative conclusion on whether it was successful or not. This will help me when creating the final product as I will know how to plan effectively based on the case studies I looked at.

Budgeting: Below the line and Above the line

  Above the line-  the list of individuals who guide, influence and add to creative direction, process and voice of a given narrative in a film and their related expenditures. These roles include (but aren't limited to) the screenwriters, producer, director, producers, and writers from the other crew. Below the line- a term derived from the top sheet of a budget (Motion Picture, Television, Commercial, Industrial, Student Film, Documentary). The 'line' in below the line is one separating the Actors, Director, Producers and Writers from the other crew I have completed this pre-production activity to allow myself more understanding of required finances in a low-budget film.
