I have completed this pre-production activity to ensure that I have various forms of access to the crew working on my project and so that the crew (and cast also) has given official permission to be used in the project. By doing this, I will be able to contact any member of crew when a specific problem might arise e.g. issues with lighting which will make it easier to fix said issues in a much more efficient way and I will also be able to secure cast and crew members into the project.

Budgeting: Below the line and Above the line

  Above the line-  the list of individuals who guide, influence and add to creative direction, process and voice of a given narrative in a film and their related expenditures. These roles include (but aren't limited to) the screenwriters, producer, director, producers, and writers from the other crew. Below the line- a term derived from the top sheet of a budget (Motion Picture, Television, Commercial, Industrial, Student Film, Documentary). The 'line' in below the line is one separating the Actors, Director, Producers and Writers from the other crew I have completed this pre-production activity to allow myself more understanding of required finances in a low-budget film. By understanding the idea of 'above' and 'below' the line costs, I will be able to have a clearer idea of how budgeting works and where money specifically goes to in a project.
